マイヤークリスマスパレード その2 |
2009年11月28日(土) Myer Toy ExpressHave you ever wondered how Santa makes and wraps all those toys in time for Christmas? The Myer Toy Express is his secret ? he makes them on the go.Manned by dozens of elves, the Myer Toy Express is his mobile toy factory, mounted on the back of a locomotive. Beeping and whirring, spinning and turning, its massive conveyer belts are constantly churning out presents ready for delivery to the stockings of the world. While mostly helpful, elves are a little cheeky by nature. They sometimes
can't resist throwing a spanner in the works. Myer Spirit of Christmas FloatKasey Chambers and the Little Hillbillies will travel to Myer on top of a giant star-covered drum (pa rum pum pum pum). Performing their brand new song, “Christmas Time”, Kasey continues the tradition of the Spirit of Christmas CD, which has presented Australia's finest musical talents annually for the past 16 years, through which the Myer Community Fund has raised over $6 million for the Salvation Army's Red Shield Appeal
Myer Santa SleighSanta will arrive atop his grandest sleigh, decked with boughs of holly and piled to the sky with presents for all the good boys and girls. He will be accompanied by his favourite Supermodel, Jennifer Hawkins, and led by Rudolf with his eight reindeer friends, dancing all the way. Santa will usher in the festive season with a wink of his eye and his signature belly laugh, as well as a show-stopping song and dance outside Myer, accompanied by all of his reindeer and the 150-piece Myer Chorus.
The Myer ChorusOpening and closing the show in the Bourke Street Mall, the Myer Chorus will perform two Broadway-style showstoppers. An exclusive combination of some of Melbourne's best performance groups including the Australian Girls' Choir, this 150-strong ensemble will ensure that the parade begins with a bang, and that everyone is sent home whistling a Christmas favourite.
The Myer Christmas GuardiansEscorting Santa all the way from the North Pole to Melbourne, The Myer Christmas Guardians are Santa's personal bodyguards. Trained rigorously in fending off reindeer hopefuls and naughty little elves while ensuring Santa keeps to his busy schedule, their colourful armour and two-metre stature make them a grand accompaniment to the man himself.
Dorothy the DinosaurDon't miss your chance to meet the world's most famous dinosaur. Dorothy will be travelling the parade route in her favourite rose-filled garden, set behind her distinctive pink cottage. Both very familiar images for children, the Myer Christmas Parade brings them to life. Rosie tea, anyone? On arrival in Bourke Street Mall, Dorothy will perform a hit song written by
her good friends - The Wiggles. |
